7 Servicing/Maintenance

7. Unless already fitted, insert locking elements 500.71 and 500.72 into the outer

rotor. Position the locking elements in such a way that their openings are
located near the keyway.

8. Protect the magnets in outer rotor 818.02 with a suitable non-metallic cover.

9. Hold the motor in place in a horizontal position.

10. For reassembly, screw a rod with a suitable thread into threaded connecting

element 905.

11. Mark the position of the keyway on the hub face of the outer rotor using a felt-

tip pen.

12. Slide the outer rotor onto the motor shaft as far as possible. The marking must

be aligned with the key on the motor shaft.

13. Slide disc 550.08 onto the threaded rod.

14. Fit a suitable nut on the threaded rod using a socket wrench (of sufficient

length) and use this to slide the outer rotor completely onto the shaft.

15. Remove the threaded rod including nut and disc from threaded connecting

element 905.

16. Secure outer rotor with hexagon socket head cap screw 914.08 and disc 550.08.

Tighten hexagon socket head cap screw 914.08 to the torques given in this
manual, (

Section 7.6, Page 74) , holding outer rotor 818.02 with a belt

wrench if necessary.
