Discharge-side passage
1. Use the upper casing half as a template and place onto the gasket material.
Ensure that one edge of the gasket material is flush with the casing half.
2. Mark the casing half holes on the gasket material.
3. Remove upper casing half from the gasket material.
4. Cut holes for the studs into the gasket material at the markings.
5. Position the gasket material on the lower casing half.
6. Lay the gasket material on the lower casing half and secure using either a
gasket adhesive or a band of shellac approximately 13 mm wide on the outer
edge of the lower casing half.
7. Using a sharp knife, cut the gasket material along the outer edge of the lower
casing half (cut gasket with downward strokes only).
8. Using a sharp knife, cut the gasket material along the inner edge of the lower
casing half (cut gasket with downward strokes only).
9. Using a sharp knife, cut a hole into the gasket material for the discharge-side
passage in the lower casing half (cut gasket with downward strokes only).
7.4.7 Fitting the upper half of the pump casing

Improperly tightened fastening elements
Risk of injury to operating personnel!

Tighten all fastening elements with the specified tightening torque.
▷
Observe the specified sequence and tightening procedure when tightening the
fastening elements.
Lubricants
The specified torque values assume well-lubricated threads. The lubricant must be
applied to the threads and the contact faces.
