Increasing/reducing ground pressure
KMG000-039
The relief springs (1) are used to adapt the ground pressure of the cutterbar to the local
conditions. In order to protect the sward, the cutterbar must be relieved to such an extent that it
does not jump when mowing or leave any traces of abrasion on the ground.
ü
The machine is in the transport position.
ü
The machine is shut down and safeguarded,
.
To increase the ground pressure, extend the supporting chain (3).
To reduce the ground pressure, shorten the supporting chain (3).
Telescopic top link
When the telescopic top link is released, the front cutter bar area can also be adjusted.
To reduce the ground pressure in the front cutter bar area, hook the relief springs (1) higher
into the perforated bar (2).
If the relief springs are hooked in too high, the mower will tilt towards the rear.
To increase the ground pressure in the front cutter bar area, hook the relief springs (1) lower
into the perforated bar (2).
If the relief springs are hooked in too low, the front part of the mower will have too much
weight on the ground.
Increasing/reducing ground pressure via perforated bars
Borehole (I) = maximum mower relief = minimum ground pressure
Borehole (VI) =minimum mower relief = maximum ground pressure
