Outer universal shaft half
Grease the raceway seat and the slide ring seat of the outer section tube (7).
Insert the outer raceway (8) into the groove.
Position the slide ring (9) and hook the retaining spring (10) into both boreholes of the slide
ring.
Slide on the protective collars (6) and secure with fastening screws (3).
Slide on the outer guard tube (5) and secure with fastening screws (3).
Determining displacement path (overlap)

Lay the both universal shaft halves in front of one another, the outer section tube is in front
of the inner section tube.
Determine the dimension X1.
Slide the universal shaft halves into one another until the stop is reached and set a marking
(2) at the end of the outer guard tube.
Connect the universal shaft on tractor and machine side, move the machine to the
narrowest position (straight-ahead driving).
Determine the dimension X2.
Calculating the displacement path “V” (overlap):
V = X1-X2
The displacement path (overlap) must be at least V ≥ 220 mm.
Check the shortened universal shaft when driving around curves.
Slowly drive a right turn or left turn with the tractor. In doing so, observe the marking (2).
The outer guard tube must not touch the marking (2) in the narrowest position (cornering with
maximum steering angle and simultaneous driving up and driving down a slope).
If the outer guard tube touches the marking (2), continue to shorten the both universal shaft
halves as described above by the same length until the outer guard tube does no longer touch
the marking,

The machine is set in the factory for machine operation without Load Sensing.
