4.5.10 Firmware & Backup / Restore 

Software  upgrade  tool  is  used  to  help  upgrade  the  software  function  in  order  to  fix  or 

improve the function. User can upgrade the firmware in this page. Please note that power 

cannot be off in the process of the software upgrade. You must do it carefully. Specify the 

filename and directory where the file is located via the 

Browse

…button, and click on the 

Flash Image 

button when it is completed. When the upload is finished, the router will start 

upgrading  software.  A  reboot  message  will  be  prompted  after  completing  upgrading 

software. At this time, you must reboot the router to have the new software worked. If your 

upload  is  unsuccessful,  an  error  message  will  be  shown  in  the  webpage,  and  it  will  not 

upgrade the software as well. 

 

Image: 

File path and filename stored the image file you would like to upgrade. 

Upgrade the firmware to obtain new functionality. It takes about 2 minutes.   

Backup / Restore 

With  this  function,  user  can  back  up  or  reload  the  config  files  by  exporting/  importing 

settings.  Besides  through  the  press  of  the 

Reset 

button  in  the  rear  panel  to  execute  the 

hardware reset function as we had mentioned before for the router.   

 

The  software  reset  function  provided  here  takes  the  same  effect  as  the 

Perform

 

Reset 

button  on  the front  panel of  the  router.  It  will  take  about  30~60  seconds  to  complete  the 

system boot. 

 

Generate  Archive: 

To export the current settings stored in the flash to a config file, just 

press the 

Generate archive 

button. 

 

Restore  backup: 

Import  the  configuration  file  into  your  router.  Specify  the  filename  and 

directory where the file is located via the 

Browse

…button, and press the 

Upload archive... 

button when completed.
