Before First Use
• Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.
• Fully unwind the power cord (9) and make sure that the power cord(9) is clamped in the cable guide (10) (rear side).
• Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface. Do
not
place it on top of a metal surface.
• Connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket and boil 4-5 kettles of water using fresh water with each
boiling cycle. Do
not
use this water but pour it away.
Warning:
Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Operation
Your appliance is fitted (inside the spout) with a removable scale filter that prevents scale particles ending up in
your beverage.
1. Open the lid (4) by pressing onto the lid opening button (5). Hold the kettle (1) in an upright position to ill it with water.
Make sure to ill in the MIN amount of water (0.5L) to avoid overheating.

The kettle (1) can also be illed with water when the lid is closed by illing it through the spout (3).
2. Close the lid (4) and make sure it is properly closed.
3. Place the kettle (1) onto the base (8) and make sure it properly its onto the contact unit.
4. Connect it to the mains and switch on the water kettle by pressing the On/Off button (7), which is located at the lower
end of the handle (6). The indicator light lights up.
5. As soon as the water boils the appliance switches off automatically provided that you have thoroughly closed the lid
(4). Otherwise boiling water could spill. The indicator light switches off as well.
6. Lift the kettle (1) off the base (8). The water is now ready for use.
You can stop the boiling process any time by pushing the On/Off button (7) upward or by removing the kettle from the
base.
Water left over from a previous boiling cycle can be re-used in the next boiling cycle. However, always make sure that the
water level is not too low.
Always unplug the appliance after use.
Dry-boil cut-out
Your kettle is equipped with a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the kettle automatically, should it accidentally be
operated without water or by not observing the minimum water level. In the event of such a safety cut-out, unplug the
appliance immediately and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes. Afterwards, your kettle is ready for use again.
