IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING - BURST HAZARD
Do not use the unit for charging dry-cell batteries that are commonly used with home ap-
pliances. These batteries may burst and cause injury to persons and damage property. Use the
unit for charging/boosting a LEAD-ACID battery only.
WARNING – SHORT CIRCUIT HAZARD

Do not operate unit with damaged cord or plug; or if the unit has received a sharp blow, been
dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way. Do not disassemble the unit; incorrect reassembly
• NEVER submerge this unit in water; do not expose it to rain,
snow or use when wet.

To reduce risk of electric shock, disconnect the unit from any power source before attempting
maintenance or cleaning.
WARNING - RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES:

Working in the vicinity of a lead acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases
during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance that each time
before using the charger you read this manual and follow instructions exactly.

To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by the
battery manufacturer and manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of
the battery.

This equipment employs parts that produce arcs or sparks. Therefore, if used in a garage or

When working with lead acid batteries, always make sure immediate assistance is available
in case of accident or emergency.
•
Always have protective eyewear when using this product: contact with battery acid may cause
blindness and/or severe burns.
FIRST AID – SKIN:
If battery acid comes in contact with skin, rinse immediately with water, and then wash tho-
roughly with soap and water. If redness, pain, or irritation occurs, seek immediate medical
attention.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Connecting the terminal rings/clamps directly to the corresponding connectors on the battery
posts.
Make sure correct polarity connection before plugging in the AC power.
Position the RED terminal on the POSITIVE post connector
Position the BLACK terminal on the NEG

3. Unplug the charger from the AC power outlet after every use.

2. Connect the AC power cord with the AC power outlet.
Neither Red or Green light on: Charger is not properly connecte
d to AC power. Check outlet
and your connection.
Red light flashing: Battery charger has AC power and is functio
ning correctly. If the red light
continues to flash, then either the battery voltage is too low or the output alligator or
accessory ring terminals are not connected correctly.
Red light on steady: Battery is connected properly and the char
ger is charging the battery.
The red light will remain on until the charger completes the charging stage.
Green light flashing: The battery is greater than 80% charged.
Green light on steady: The charge is complete and the battery is 95-100% charged(Assuming
a healthy battery).

-Branchez les câbles de connexion sur les bornes du chargeur correspondant. Assurez-vous
que la connexion de polarité est bonne avant de brancher l’alimentation secteur.
-Si aucune diode n’est allumée (ni rouge, ni verte) : le charge
ur n’est pas correctement
connecté à la prise secteur. Veuillez vérifier la prise de cou
rant ainsi que la connexion.
-Si la lumière rouge clignote : le chargeur de la batterie fon
ctionne correctement.
-Si la lumière rouge continue de clignoter, la tension de la ba
tterie est alors trop basse ou la
batterie n’est pas correctement connectée.
-Si la lumière rouge est en continu : la batterie est connectée
correctement et est en charge.
La lumière rouge restera allumée jusqu’à ce que le chargement soit terminé.
-Si la lumière verte est en continu : la charge est terminée et la batterie est à 95-100 % de
son chargement (présumant une batterie saine).
-Le voyant est éteint s’il y a une mauvaise connexion avec la batterie ou un court-circuit.
Ne pas faire fonctionner l’appareil avec un cordon dont la prise est endommagée, ou si
l’appareil a reçu un choc violent, est tombé ou endommagé de toute autre manière.Ne pas
démonter l’appareil,un remontage incorrect peut entraîner un risque de court-circuit électrique
ou d’incendie.
Ne jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau, ne l’exposez pas à la pluie, ni à la neige, ne l’utilisez
pas lorsqu’il est mouillé.
Travailler dans le voisinage d’une batterie plomb-acide est dangereux. Les batteries génèrent
des gaz explosifs durant le processus normal de recharge. Pour cette raison, il est de la plus
haute importance de suivre précisément les instructions suivantes à chaque utilisation. Pour
réduire le risque d’explosion de la batterie, suivez ces instructions et celles publiées par le
fabriquant de la batterie et de tout équipement que vous avez l’intention d’utiliser à proximité
de la batterie.Cet équipement utilise des pièces qui peuvent produire des arcs ou des
étincelles. Par conséquent, si elle est utilisée dans un garage ou un endroit fermé, l’appareil
doit être placé au moins à 50cm du sol.
Pour débrancher l’appareil de la source de courant, tirez sur la prise plutôt que sur le cordon
d’alimentation. Ne jamais tenter de charger ou recharger une batterie gelée.
Lorsque vous travaillez avec des batteries au plomb-acide, assurez-vous toujours qu’une aide
immédiate est disponible en cas d’accident ou d’urgence.
Ayez toujours des lunettes de protection lors de l’utilisation de ce produit: l’acide de la batterie
au contact des yeux peut causer la cécité et / ou de graves brûlures.
Si l’acide de la batterie entre en contact avec la peau, rincez immédiatement à l’eau, puis
lavez abondamment avec de l’eau et du savon. Si la rougeur, la douleur ou l’irritation
persiste, consultez immédiatement un médecin.
Si l’acide de la batterie entre en contact avec les yeux, rincez immédiatement les yeux
pendant un minimum de 15 minutes et consultez immédiatement un ophtalmologiste.
Protection en cas d’inversion de polarité et/ou de connexions, avec un indicateur LED et
cordons de déconnexion rapide.
