2.7.9.4 Rear I/O Pin Description

Serial Ports

The CP3004-SA provides two serial ports, COMA and COMB, both available on the rear I/O CompactPCI
connector J2.

Note:

The pins for the interfaces COMA and COMB (pins A18, A17, A16, B18, B17, B16, B10, B7,
C18, C14, C13, C11, D18, D10, E18, and E16) tolerate only 3.3V signaling and their inputs
(driven by the rear I/O module) have internal pull-up resistors.

General Purpose Inputs/Outputs

Alternatively, the following GPIO signals are available instead of the COMB signals if pin D4 on the rear
I/O connector J2 (GPIO_CFG0) is set to 0.
