2.1.1.2 Onboard USB NAND Flash Connector J18
The CP-RIO6-001/-DD-216/-HD/-HD-216 rear I/O module has one onboard USB interface im-
plemented on a 9-pin connector, J18, with the following pinout.
The J18 connector is used to connect an optional USB 2.0 NAND Flash module qualified by
Kontron. The USB 2.0 NAND Flash module is a USB 2.0-based NAND Flash drive with a built-
in full hard-disk emulation and a high data transfer rate. It is optimized for embedded systems
providing high performance, reliability and security.

Only qualified USB 2.0 NAND Flash modules from Kontron are authorized for
use with the CP-RIO6-001/-DD-216/-HD/-HD-216. Use of unqualified USB 2.0
NAND Flash modules or improper installation will void the warranty and may
result in damage to the CP-RIO6-001/-DD-216/-HD/-HD-216 or the system.
