Checking the range setting of a measurement
When a catch monitoring sensor takes a measurement outside the range values defined, it
will not be displayed or will present an exception value.
Prerequisites
The TV80 has been set up with its hardware units connected as specified by the relevant
installation instructions.
Context
Once defined the measurements you want your catch monitoring sensor to make, you can
optimise their range values in order to get a better resolution. With the TV80 you can
define a minimum and a maximum range for every measurement in the
Advanced
dialog
box. The
Advanced
dialog box is opened from the relevant
Configurator
dialog boxes.
Procedure
1 On the processor unit desktop, double-click the TV80 icon to start the program.
2 On the
Setup
menu, select
Installation
.
3 In the
Sensor list
, select the sensor you want to check its configuration parameters.
4 Select
Modify Sensor
.
5 In the very first
PX Sensor Configurator
dialog box, select communication port
and sensor type, then select
Connect
.
The relevant sensor
Configurator
dialog box opens.
6 Select
Advanced
.
7 Check if the values defined for the minimum and maximum range are inside the
range setup for that measurement.
8 If necessary, enter new values.
9 Select
OK
to close the dialog box.
10 Disconnect the sensor from the interface cable and the computer.
