4 Connecting the network cable
Connect the network cable to the copier.
4.1 Types of cable that can be used
Use a Category 5 or 5E network cable.

Insert the connectors on the network cable into the network ports.

Insert the connector on one end of the network cable into the network
port as shown in the illustration.

Insert the connector on the other end of the network cable into an avail-
able port on the network hub.
About the LEDs
LED1
LED2
LED Description
LED1 (LINK): This LED lights up when the network cable is connected correctly.
If this LED is not lit, check the connection again, even if the copier
appears to be connected correctly. If this LED is not lit when both
ends are connected correctly, the network cable may be damaged.
LED2 (ACT): This LED blinks when data is being transferred.
