List of LDAP settings
Specify these settings when using an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol) server.

LDAP SERVER AD-
DRESS Specify the IP address or host name
for the LDAP server. Consult with the
network administrator. o o
LDAP PORT NO. Specify the port number (between 1
and 65535) used for communicating
with the LDAP server. Consult with the
network administrator. o o
SSL SETTING Select whether or not SSL is used to
encode the transmission data. o o
SEARCH BASE Specify where to start the search in the
name space of the LDAP server. Con-
sult with the network administrator. o o
Attribute for Operation
Panel Specify the search attributes when us-
ing the control panel to search for des-
tinations on the LDAP server. Consult
with the network administrator. o o
Attribute for Web tool Specify the search attributes when us-
ing PageScope Web Connection to
search for destinations on the LDAP
server. Consult with the network ad-
ministrator. - o
SEARCH METHOD Specify the method used to search for
destination names. o o
LDAP TIMEOUT Specify the amount of time (between 5
and 300 seconds) until a search times
out. o o
MAX.SEARCH RE-
SULTS Specify the maximum number of items
(between 5 and 100) that can be re-
ceived as LDAP search results. o o
AUTHENTICATION Select the LDAP authentication meth-
od. Consult with the network adminis-
trator. o o
LDAP ACCOUNT Specify the account name used to
connect to the LDAP server. Type in an
account name if any setting other than
"ANONYMOUS" was selected as the
authentication method. Consult with
the network administrator. o o
