6.1.3 Copying Mixed-Size Originals: Mixed
Use the Mixed mode to copy the mixed-size original set properly with Auto Paper or Auto Zoom activated.

Load the original in the ADF .

Combination of original sizes to be mixed depends on the width of the original guides of the ADF (the
widest original width). See page 3-15 for details.

Do not load more than 100 sheets of the original. Otherwise, the original may be misfed or damaged. If
the number of original sheets exceeds 100, divide them into blocks to scan. See page 6-17 for details.

To scan the original from the original glass , Separate Scan mode is required. See page 6-17 for details.

With Mixed specified, Auto Paper will function automatically to make a copy of the same size as each
original. To copy onto a single and desired paper size, manually select Auto Zoom.

Position the original.
Arrange mixed-size originals aligning the left and rear sides in the ADF .

Press [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen.

Press [Original Setting].
The Original Setting Screen will be displayed.

Select [Mixed] from under [Special].
Setting options Description
Auto Paper Makes a copy of the same size as the original set.
Auto Zoom Copies onto a single and desired paper size in appropriate zoom ratio au-
tomatically selected for each original page.
