Under certain circumstances the target tracking may not follow the intended echo. This may
for example happen if the tracking area is too large.

Fishing Gear function

By defining the type of fishing gear you are using, the ST90 system may provide more
accurate visual presentations.

How to open

This function is opened from the

Setup

menu.

Description

The

Fishing Gear

function allows you to define the size of your trawl or purse seine.

Accurate fishing gear properties are important for the following functionality:

• Circle Marker

• Gear Symbol

• Catch view

• 270 Vertical view

Use the

Fishing Gear Setup

dialog box to change the fishing gear properties to match your

own equipment. This dialog box is also provided as a page in the

Installation

dialog box.
