Preventing the sonar program from starting
automatically
The sonar program starts automatically when the Processor Unit is turned on. The
remaining system units are turned on from the sonar program. This may not be what
you need or want.
Prerequisites
It is assumed that you are familiar with the the Windows ® operating system. Neither
tools nor instruments are required. We suggest that you use a computer keyboard and
mouse for this task.
Context
You can prevent the sonar program from starting when the Processor Unit is turned on.
To start the program - and turn on the entire sonar system - you must then double-click
the sonar icon on the Processor Unit desktop.
Procedure
1 Select
Power Off
on the top bar.
2 In the
Power Off
dialog box, select
Exit to Operating System
to close the sonar
program.
3 Right-click on the task bar and select
Task Manager
.
4 In the
Task Manager
dialog box, open the
Startup
page.
5 Observe that a list of programs is provided.
6 Select the sonar program, right-click and select
Disable
on the short-cut menu.
7 Select [
X
] in the upper-right corner to close the dialog box.
