Desktop application

The desktop application offers the easiest way to do backup and restore operations.
Place the backup files on the "D" drive.

A backup made with desktop application can be restored using the boot application.

It is also possible to place the backup files on a USB storage device. A standard
USB flash drive may not have the required storage capacity. You can then use a USB
hard disk.

Creating a backup image using the desktop application

A backup

image

is a very useful feature. It allows you to create and save a complete

copy of all the files on the Processor Unit. The software used is

Acronis True Image

. The

software is installed on the Processor Unit. It is also copied onto the USB flash drive that is
provided with the MF90 system.

Prerequisites

The following items are required:

• Computer mouse

• Computer keyboard

• Optionally: USB hard disk

Context

The desktop application offers the easiest way to do backup and restore operations. The

. This procedure refers to the following software

version: 20.0.

Procedure

Close the MF90 program.

Select

Power off

to turn off the system.

In the

Power Off

dialog box, select

Exit to Operating System

to close

the MF90 program.

c

Connect the keyboard and the mouse to USB sockets on the Processor
Unit.

Select the desktop icon to start the Acronis True Image OEM program.
