Context
The
File Setup
settings control how and where the recorded files are saved on the hard disk, or
on an external storage device. By adding a prefix to the file names you can identify the files
you have recorded during a specific survey. You can also define a maximum size of the files.
You can start and stop data recording in several ways.
a Select the red circle on the right side of the
Record RAW
button.
b Open the
Record RAW
button and select On .
c Select the black rectangle to stop recording.
The
Record
indicator on the top bar will switch to red colour when recording is active. The
Record
indicator can not be used to start or stop recording.
Procedure
1 Open the
Operation
menu.
2 Locate the
Record
button.
3 Select the middle of the button to open it for access to the available options.
4 Select
File Setup
to open the dialog box.
5 On the
Directory
page, select
Browse
to choose a folder for the data files.
The data files will normally become very large. If you wish to record large amounts of
data, make sure that you have enough space on your hard disk. The MF90 system is not
provided with unlimited disk capacity. We recommend that you either save the data
files to an external storage device, or use a network disk.
6 On the
Raw Data
page, type a prefix into the
File name prefix
text field.
If you do not have a computer keyboard connected to your MF90 system, select the
Keyboard
button to open an on-screen keyboard.
7 On the
Raw Data
page, define a maximum size for the data files.
Tip
Set the value to 0 (zero) if you do not wish to limit the file size. The
Split File
function will
start a new file with the next ping regardless of the maximum file size you have defined.
