Connectors on the Nexcom Processor Unit

The rear panel of the Nexcom NISE 3600 Processor Unit holds all the connectors used by the
computer to communicate with external devices. One slot is empty for future expansions.

From Processor Unit to local area network (LAN) (C9)

Note

Only the left Ethernet socket is used to communicate with the Wideband Transceiver
(WBT).

If you wish to connect the Processor Unit to the ship's local area network, use the
right Ethernet socket.

It is very important that a high-quality Ethernet cable is used. You must use CAT-5E
STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) quality or better. If you use a cable with lower bandwidth
