Install the K-Sync cabinet and perform the system cabling

Perform the start-up and configuration of the K-Sync software

Minimum computer requirements

Unless specifically ordered from Kongsberg Maritime, the K-Sync is not provided with a
computer. This item must be purchased locally.

If you purchase a computer locally, make sure that the chosen model meets the functional
and technical requirements. The computer design and construction must allow for
maritime use, easy access to connectors, parts and cables, and a safe installation.

The minimum technical requirements are:

: Intel Pentium 4, 2.0 GHz (An equivalent type from another manufacturer

can also be used.)

: Minimum 1 GB

Ethernet adapter

: Minimum 1 x 100 Mbps

– Minimum resolution (pixels): 1280 x 800

– Recommended resolution (pixels): 1280 x 1024

Installing the K-Sync application software

Set up of Workstation includes configuration of the network card and installing the
K-Sync application software.

Prerequisites

The Workstation must be set up with an address in the 157.237.60.xxx (255.255.240.0)
subnet.

The Synchronizing Unit IP address is

157.237.60.169

.

Note

If you can’t contact the K-Sync unit you may have to change the IP address of your
local computer to

157.237.60.160
