Additional required items
Additional items are available for the Flexview. Some are required for Flexview operation.
These items must be added to the Flexview for full operational functionality. The additional
items can be provided by Kongsberg Mesotech. You can order them with the other basic
Flexview items.You can also purchase these items from your dealer, agent or local supplier.
Sonar Processor
The Sonar Processor is not a standard part of the Flexview delivery. A suitable computer
must be purchased locally.
If you purchase a computer locally, make sure that the chosen model meets the functional
and technical requirements. The computer must also provide the necessary interface
facilities that your Flexview needs to communicate with peripheral systems. The computer
must be designed for rugged use, and the construction must be able to withstand the
vibrations and movements of a vessel.
The operating system must be Microsoft ® 64-bit Windows 10.
Kongsberg Mesotech may provide a suitable computer. Consult your local dealer or agent
for more information.
Mounting bracket
The Sonar Head is designed to attach to a mounting bracket.
You will need a mounting bracket that attaches to the Flexview. The type of mounting
bracket you need depends on how you intend to deploy the sonar. You can order a mounting
bracket from Kongsberg Mesotech, or you can make your own.
Additional optional items
Additional items are available for the Flexview. Some are optional for Flexview operation.
These items may for example simplify the installation, or increase the functionality. You
can order them with the other basic Flexview items. You can also purchase these items
from your dealer, agent or local supplier.
Cable assembly and cable accessory kit
The optional power/Ethernet cable assembly includes an in-line SubConn connector and
a breakout box with an RJ45 socket and two-pin Bulgin socket. The cable accessory kit
includes a power supply (24 VDC with a two-pin Bulgin connector), AC power cord,
Ethernet patch cable, spare o-rings, and spare connectors. You can use this cable assembly
and power supply to set up a bench test, as shown in the Cable Plan.
