STEERING TILT LOCK LEVER

WARNING
Stop the machine before adjusting the tilt of the steering wheel. If this operation (adjustment) is carried
out while the machine is moving, it may lead to a serious accident or personal injury.
This lever allows the steering column to be tilted forward or
backward.
The amount of adjustment is 8° to the front and 10° to the rear
(stepless) from the neutral position.
1.
Set the lever (1) to FREE position (a).
2.
Set the steering wheel (2) to the desired position, then set
lever (1) to LOCK position (b).
CAP AND COVER WITH LOCK

Use the starting key to open and close the locks on the caps
and covers.
For details of the locations of the caps and covers with locks,
see “LOCKING (3-98)“.
Insert the key as far as it will go, then turn it. If the key is turned
before it is inserted fully, it may break.
METHOD OF OPENING AND CLOSING CAP WITH LOCK
(FOR THE FUEL TANK FILLER PORT)
TO OPEN THE CAP
1.
Insert the key into the key slot.
2.
Turn the key clockwise, align the key slot with the match
mark on the cap, then open the cap.
TO LOCK THE CAP
1.
Turn the cap until tight, then insert the key into the key slot.
2.
Turn the key counterclockwise and take the key out.
