METHOD  FOR  CHANGING  OIL  IN  ENGINE  OIL  PAN,  REPLACING  ENGINE  OIL
FILTER CARTRIDGE

 WARNING

Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn injury.
Accordingly, wait until they have cooled down before starting the work.
 

Refill capacity of oil pan: 38.5 ℓ
Items to be prepared

• Container to receive drained oil
• Filter wrench

1.

Remove cover (1) on the underside of the machine.

2.

Take out hose (2) from the toolbox and install it.

3.

Place the oil container under drain valve (P).

4.

Gradually lower the lever of drain valve (P) and drain the
oil, with care not to get splashed with the drained oil.

5.

After draining the oil, raise the lever to close the valve.

6.

Open the door on the rear right side of the machine.

7.

Turn filter cartridge (3) counterclockwise by using the filter
wrench, and remove it.

8.

Clean the filter holder, fill the new filter cartridge with clean
engine oil, coat the thread and packing surface of the new
filter  cartridge  with  clean  engine  oil  (or  thinly  apply  the
grease), then install it to the filter holder.

REMARK

Check that there is no old packing stuck to filter cartridge
(3). If there is any old packing stuck to it, it will cause leak-
age of oil.

9.

When installing, tighten until the packing surface contacts the seal surface of filter cartridge (3), then tighten
it further 3/4 to 1 turn.
