2. When protruding portion (5) of the ladder contacts stopper
(6), release switch (4).
3. If the engine is to be stopped for a long time when the lad-
der is stowed, fit ladder lowering prevention chain (2) to the
hook on the machine.

When you are climbing down the machine with the
hydraulic ladder stored, use the steps provided on the
right side of the machine.
REMARK
If the engine is stopped for a long time, the ladder may come down under its own weight, but this does not indicate
any abnormality.
It is possible to prevent the ladder from coming down under its own weight by fitting the ladder lowering prevention
chain to the hook on the machine.
If the angle when the ladder comes down under its own weight is within 5°, when the engine is started, the ladder
will automatically return to the stowing position, so before starting the engine, check that there is no one near the
ladder.
If the angle when the ladder comes down under its own weight is more than 5°, the ladder will not return automati-
cally to the stowing position, so press the ladder raising switch to stow the ladder.

If it is impossible to swing or drive the machine, or operate the work equipment even when the hydraulic ladder is
stowed, there is probably a problem with the proximity switch. Check the proximity switch as follows.

1. Stop the engine.
2. Turn the starting switch key to the ON (B) position.
