METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN ENGINE OIL PAN, REPLACING ENGINE OIL
FILTER CARTRIDGE

WARNING
Allow parts and oils to cool then remove the cap slowly to relieve pressure.
Refill capacity: 50 ℓ
Items to be prepared
• Container to catch the drained oil
• Filter wrench
1.
Remove the cover of the engine underguard.
2.
Place the oil container just under the drain plug to catch
the drained oil.
3.
Remove the drain plug (1).
4.
Install the drain hose of accessory tool.
5.
When draining the oil, loosen the drain valve (2) slowly so
that you will not get oil on yourself.
Be careful not to loosen the drain valve (2) too far and de-
form the stopper pin inside the valve.
6.
Check the drained oil.
If there are excessive metal particles or foreign materials,
contact your Komatsu distributor.
7.
Remove the drain hose, and tighten the drain valve (2) and drain plug (1).
Tightening torque: 68.6±9.8 Nm {7±1 kgm}
8.
Open the engine side cover.
