Confirm your tank has not been
damaged during shipping before you
start the setup process.

Place the hood on top of the tank and
make sure it is fully seated.
This unit is powered by 3 AAA
batteries or by a 4.5v transformer,
neither are included in this kit.
Note– to install light, slide light unit
with clip onto hood, inserting LED
light into hood opening.

3. Tank Placement
Recommendations for proper tank placement
Leave enough space in behind the aquarium and
wall to allow easy access to the back of the hood
and other electrical equipment.
Good places for your aquarium
On a table or aquarium
stand that is capable of
supporting the weight of
your filled aquarium.
In an alcove or area where
there is electricity and
room to service the aquarium.
Places to avoid
Near direct sources of sunlight (e.g. windows) or
unwanted algae growth may occur.
Near direct sources of heat (e.g. radiators or
forced air vents).
Around sources of noise (e.g. stereo speakers, TV)
Drafty areas
LED light takes 3 AAA Batteries (not in-
cluded); o
ptional 4.5-volt power adapter
(AP45150T) allows aquarium lights be to
powered by electrical outlet.
WARNING
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix Alkaline, Standard or Chargeable batteries.
Do not use Power Adapter above 4.5-vollt or damage
will occur to LED light.
Note: The LED light unit has an auto shut-off
feature after 2 hours to preserve battery life.
