Operation and Maintenance Manual

Maintenance activities

Filling with diesel engine oil

Fig. 55: Example of oil dipstick and oil filler neck

Fill with oil through the oil filler neck

up to between the min and max marks on

the dipstick

Clean the refueling cap, place on the oil filler neck

and tighten.

Start the diesel engine.

Check the oil pressure (diesel engine oil pressure display unit) and check the oil
filter for leaks.

Turn the Diesel engine off.

Check the oil level on the dipstick after 10 minutes.

If the engine oil level is not between min and max:

Correct the oil level.

5.14.3 Replace the oil separator filter insert of the crankcase

breather

Make sure that:

A new V-ribbed belt is on hand.

A new filter insert is on hand.

Another person is present.
