Remove the Existing Air Switch
Using a needle nose pliers, firmly grasp the base from the switch body,
then pull the base from the switch body.
Remove and discard the base.
Temporarily secure the tube to the whirlpool/installation surface with
masking tape.
Insert a flat-blade screwdriver under the escutcheon.
While holding the button in place with your thumb and forefinger, gently
pryoff the escutcheon.
Remove and discard the escutcheon, button, and spring.
NOTE:
When removing the base, ensure that the tube remains attached to the
base. Do not allow the tube to fall down into the unit.
Install the New Air Switch
Remove and discard the switch body from the new air switch. The switch
body cannot be replaced.
Remove the masking tape from the tube, then slide the tube onto the base.
Insert the base into the switch body, then firmly press the base into place
with your finger.
Insert the spring, then the button into the base.
While holding the button in place with your thumb and forefinger,
position the escutcheon around the button.
Snap the escutcheon into place.
