Connecting the Energy storage solution
The following always applies:
• The places of operation must be dry and dust-free.
• The air supplied must not contain any electrically-conductive dust, gas or vapour
which could impair functionality. Corresponding remedial measures must be taken
if necessary.
• The Energy storage solution may only be operated in ambient temperatures from
0 - 40 °C.
• The Energy storage solution may only be operated in connection with an applica-
tion which has direct access to the DC link capacity.
• The connecting wires (cross-section to comply with your national standards) bet-
ween the Energy storage solution and the application must not be longer than 1.0
m, must be laid as a twisted pair and must be proof against short-circuits.
• Should the connecting wire be longer than 0.5 m or should you have particular re-
quirements regarding electromagnetic compatibility, we recommend you comply
with the application instruction "Connection of the DEx and KEx devices in the case
of particular EMC requirements" (available on request from Michael Koch GmbH).

!
There is a risk of injury!
The housing may heat up to 80° C in operation.
If you have to work on the Energy storage solution, wear heat-
resistant safety gloves.
Risk of damage!
The Energy storage solution must not be disconnected from the
DC link during operation – this could lead to the destruction of
the Energy storage solution.
Unauthorised disconnection of the DC link can also be caused
by an incorrect fuse size.
Ensure that the fuse size is adequate.
