7.1 Grinding linear knives on the grinding wheel
7.1.1 Attaching the SP 107 grinding plate
Mount the fixed mounting head (7-1/1) onto the
carriage of the universal grinding arm using a
hexagon screwdriver, width across flats 6 mm.
NOTE
KNECHT produces a suitable grinding plate
for each knife. KNECHT requires as precise
information as possible on the shape and size
of the knife to be ground. A drawing from
the knife manufacturer is ideal (knives that
can be procured on the free market some-
times deviate from the original contour).
Photos of the entire knife and the knife
inscription are also helpful.
ATTENTION
For grinding plates with a grinding radius
SR 80 – 335, the mounting head is mounted
on the front side of the carriage.
For grinding plates with a grinding radius
SR 200 – 460, the mounting head must be
mounted on the rear side of the carriage
(see also chapter 3.2)
