Operation
AZURA® Pump P 2.1L Instructions V6840
Process
Figure
Procedure
1.
Insert the inlet hoses into the
storage containers and start
the pump with an intermediate
flow rate.
2.
As the pump is self-pri-
ming, the venting screw
1
of
the pressure sensor can be
opened.
3.
If necessary, draw liquid
through the dry feed hoses to
the pump head with the provi-
ded syringe. If you are working
without the pump head inlet,
pay attention that both feed
hoses are filled with solvent.
4.
With the syringe, extract fluid
through the purge port
2
.
5.
If the extracted fluid flows
continuously, stop suction and
close the venting screw

.

The purging process of the pump is limited to a maximum pressure of
5 MPa. If this value is exceeded during the purging process, the pump
switches off automatically. If you are using very small hoses and capilla-
ries, the pressure can be too high.
If there are air bubbles in the capillaries, the flow pulsates. As soon as
the flow is constant, the pump is purged and the purging process can be
stopped. The duration for purging depends on capillary and hose length
as well as the flow rate.
5.3
Switch-on
Liquid container is sufficiently filled.
Piston backflushing is connected.
Washing container is sufficiently filled.
Device defect
Changes of the environmental temperature cause condensation inside
the device.
Allow device to acclimate for 3 h before connecting to power supply
and taking into operation.
Component defect
Possible damage to the pump head due to dry running.
Make sure that solvent fl ows through the pump head and piston
backfl ushing.
