Power Modules of the Lights/Structure of the Ceiling Tube
The ceiling tube offers altogether 6 mounting positions (MP1–MP6).
Rules
•
The numbering of the mounting locations starts clockwise on the right with MP1, next to the central
equipotential bonding terminal.
•
MP1 contains the power supply unit of the consumer at the lowest tracking arm. In the example, this
could be a marLED® E9i, E15 or X operating light, or a surgiCam® camera on a separate arm.
•
If the configuration includes additional arm systems (example: MP2 with a light), the power modules of
their consumers are assigned to the following mounting positions (MP2–MP4).
•
MP3 contains the input terminals (120-230 V) for power supply to a device that is powered by mains
voltage (e.g. marLED® E3, heat radiator or surgiCam® HD Wireless receiver unit).
•
MP4 includes a preparation for installation of a monitor power supply unit.
•
MP5 always contains the COM interface or the CAN board.
•
MP6 always includes the central equipotential bonding terminal.
The plug connections from the ceiling tube to the lights are coded with the same color as the mounting
locations: MP1: RD, MP2: YE, MP3: BU, MP4: GN.
•
If the configuration includes TFT Duo monitors (with through-cabling, which is only possible for the
lowest (MP1) or uppermost (MP4) tracking arm), their PSUs are distributed to 2 mounting positions as
follows:
–
With the bottom-most tracking arm, use MP1 and the 1
st
unoccupied MP (e.g. MP3 if only 2 tracking
arms are involved).
