Fitting the guy ropes.
As you look at the side of the shelter, the
PRE-CURVED steel poles are attached by speed hooks. Along
each seam there are two speed clips together (these have
orange webbing). This is where you attach the guy ropes. You
should have 16 webbing guy straps and 16 clips with guy ropes
attached. Take a webbing guy strap and attach around the
PRE-CURVED steel pole between the 2 speed clips. Attach a
guy clip to the two D’s and peg out the rope. The speed clips
stop the straps from sliding up or down. Repeat on all sides
making sure the tension is even and the shelter is not pulled out
of shape.
10. Remember this is a temporary shelter, not a structure, so always
check it in windy conditions and do not leave it unattended.
1. Select a dry, level site and clear
the ground of any sharp objects.
Remove the shelter from its carry
bag, untie fabric ties and unroll the
shelter. Spread the cover out in the
desired location with the roof on
top.
2. Carefully take the poles from the
carry bag and assemble them
into their groups (list above). The
STEEL quad knuckle is attached to
the shelter.
3. Connect the four STRAIGHT steel
poles together and slide them
through the pole sleeves in the roof
from the outside to insert them into
the STEEL quad knuckle in the
centre of the roof. There is a small
spring on the pole which locks into
the slot under the knuckle. When
all four poles are assembled and
inserted, the centre of the shelter
will be raised off the ground slightly.
Attach the ‘t’ shaped joiners, one to
each pole.
4. Unroll the webbing
strap from the corners
and connect to the side
release buckles on the
corresponding corner. This
stops the corners from
“splaying’ out when the
poles are inserted. Peg out
the four corners checking
the shelter is square.
5. If you are wanting to attach the side walls, it is a good idea to
attach them now. Take the weight off the zips when attaching
the curtain by holding the curtain up as you zip.
6.
This will take two people to assemble.
Take one of the steel
PRE-CURVED poles and going to the middle of any wall, attach
the cross frame into the ‘t’ shaped joiner. Holding this up, the
other person then attaches either end to the pin and ring fitting
on the corner of the shelter, making sure the curves are going
in the right direction. Attach the speed clips going around the
shelter wall.
7. Going around the shelter, repeat for the other three walls.
8. Step back and check the shelter is square and sitting correctly.
Peg out the remaining pegging points on the four corners,
followed by the curtains.
