Lamp change
Metal halide lamp HTI 300 W/DX, 750 h, No. 6093
Do not use any other type of lamp!
Important:
The metal halide lamp reaches high temperatures and operates under
high pressure. Inside the lamp house some parts are under high
voltage. Keep off.
Switch off the projector, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool
down for 20 minutes before changing the lamp. Once it is cold, the
lamp is no longer under pressure and therefore harmless.
The defective lamp should be disposed of according to local regula-
tions. Don´t throw it away with the household garbage.
Turn out the safety screw (13) at the projection head (9).
Press the release button (13 a) and take off the top (fig. 3 + 4).
Take out the defective lamp.
Hold the new lamp only at its metal parts – remove existing nuts
first, they are not needed. Carefully insert the new lamp in the centre
of the metal sockets until it engages.
The lamp is in its correct position if it fits into the grooves of the
sockets, and the metal seal on the lamp cylinder points sidewards to
the fan (fig. 5).
Never touch the bulb with your bare fingers. If it happens, clean the
bulb with a soft cloth and alcohol.
Put back the top of the projection head. First insert the two front
hooks of the cover into the slots of the bottom, and then close the
case until the catch on the rear side engages.
Don´t forget to fix the safety screw (13) (fig. 3 + 4).
Switch on the projector and press the reset button (5) 3 seconds,
e. g. with the top of a ball-point pen, until the LED flashes up for a
moment. Thus the lamp life indicator is put back to “0”.
