Operation and Protection Functions
This chapter describes about the panel display and protection function.
Power On and Off
Turning the POWER switch on

Check that the power cord is correctly connected.

Turn the POWER switch on ( ).
If you notice strange sounds, unusual odors, fire, or smoke around or from inside this product, turn
the switchboard’s circuit breaker off.
The LEDs on the front panel light for a few seconds, and then only the POWER/STANDBY LED stays
lit. The system goes into standby state and can receive commands from BPC4000.
If the ALARM/WARNING LED is lit, an alarm or protection function may be activated. (p.31)
Turning the POWER switch off
Connect the DUT after turning on the power switch.
If there is a problem, the warning function
(p.32) can prevent failure from occurring.
CAUTION Failure to observe this will cause the product to fail or malfunction.
• After you turn the POWER switch off, wait at least 10 seconds before you turn it back on.
Do not turn the power on and off repeatedly.
• Do not turn off the POWER switch while a charge/discharge test is in progress.
• Do not leave the DUT connected after you turn off the POWER switch. If left in this
condition for a long period, this product may malfunction, or the DUT may discharge.
Remove the DUT before turning off the POWER switch.
The warning function
(p.32) may be able to prevent failure from occurring, such as when
inadvertent voltage or current is flowing.
