Features of your vehicle Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW)
Reverse Parking Distance Warn

ing (PDW) (if equipped)
Reverse Parking Distance Warning
assists the driver when the vehicle is
moving in reverse by chiming if any
object is detected within a distance
of 120 cm (48 inches) behind the
vehicle.
Reverse Parking Distance Warning is
a supplemental function and it is not
intended to nor does it replace the
need for extreme care and attention
of the driver. The sensing range and
objects detectable by the rear ultra
-
sonic sensors (1) are limited. When
-
ever backing-up, pay as much
attention to what is behind you as
you would in a vehicle without a
Reverse Parking Distance Warning.
WARNING
Reverse Parking Distance Warning is
a supplementary function only. The
operation of Reverse Parking Dis
-
tance Warning can be affected by
several factors (including environ
-
mental conditions). It is the respon
-
sibility of the driver to always check
the area behind the vehicle before
and whilst backing up.

䳜 This function will activate when
the indicator on the Parking
safety button is not illuminated.
If you desire to deactivate
Reverse Parking Distance Warn

ing, press the Parking safety but

ton again. (The indicator on the
button will illuminate.) To turn the
function on, press the button
again. (The indicator on the but
-
ton will go off.)
䳜 This function will activate when
backing up with the ignition
switch ON.
If the vehicle is moving at a speed
over 5 km/h (3 mph), the function
may not be activated correctly.
