Keysight PD1000A Power Device Measurement System Startup Guide

Step 2: Install System Software on Host PC

Download PD1000A Control Software

The PD1000A software may be downloaded from Keysight at any time. A free trial
version of the software is available. Download the software from the following
website:

www.keysight.com/find/PD1000A

Select the

Trials & Licenses

tab.

Click the

Details & Download

button.

Read the instructions and click the red

Download

button. Follow all

on-screen instructions.

Download Setup and Configuration Files

In addition to the PD1000A Control Software, you need to download and install
some additional configuration files from:

Keysight recommends that you save these downloaded files to a memory stick
for later use during system installation.

The files you need to download are:

– PD1000A ConfigurationTool.exe

— Sets sets up environment variables on for

the B1506A (for IV and CV measurements) and the E5080A ENA (for
S-Parameter measurements).

– UHC Selector Input Selection.xtd

— for IV and CV tests

– Temperature Sensor 1.xtd

— for use with the inTest thermal platform.

– Temperature Sensor 2.xtd

— for use with the inTest thermal platform.

– Gate Diode PD1000A.xtd

— for IV/CV gate diode tests

– Ic-Vge PD1000A.xtd

— for IV/CV Ic-Vge tests

– Id-Vgs PD1000A.xtd

— for IV/CV Id-Vgs tests

– Rg, Cgg for IGBT PD1000A.XTD

— for IV/CV Rg, Cgg tests

– Rg, Cgg for PowerMOSFET PD1000A.XTD

— for IV/CV Rg, Cgg Power MOSFET

tests

– PD1000ACom.exe

— This file must be installed on the B1505A or B1506A

hard drive at:

c:\PD1000ACom.exe

This trial version may be used for 30 days with no obligation. After

30 days, you must purchase a software license to continue using

the software to run S-Parameter tests. Each host controller PC

requires a separate license. For purchasing information, go to the
