Microsoft Windows
Your instrument has Microsoft Windows installed at the factory. Keysight has
already configured many of the settings in Microsoft Windows for optimal
behavior in your instrument. This chapter contains details about many of these
settings.
Instrument Software
The instrument software is installed in the M9384B VXG Microwave Signal
Generator by the factory. For optional software and capabilities, you may purchase
the license at a later date.
Is your product software up-to-date?
Periodically, Keysight releases software updates to fix known defects and
incorporate product enhancements. To search for software updates for your
product, visit
www.keysight.com/find/M9384B
Application Keyboard Shortcuts
M9384B VXG Microwave Signal Generator allows you to move the application
window by pressing Alt+SM. Press the arrow keys to reposition the
window, and press Enter to return to the normal view. You can also minimize the
application window by pressing Windows logo key + Down Arrow.
Shutting Down the System
Power down the instrument using the front panel power button. Do not power down
by removing the power cord. For software controlled shutdown, refer to the
SYSTem:PDOWn
SCPI commands.
Customer Installation of Software
Installation of other Third Party Software
The M9384B VXG platform is an Open Windows environment, so you can install
software on the instrument. However, installation of non-approved software may
affect instrument performance.
