Step 5 - Launch Modular TRX Application
Application Launcher
The TRX Launcher is a tool for invoking the Modular TRX applications for one or
multiple modules. It is also used to update the FPGA and install module hardware
licenses.
Before launching any application, install the VXT module into the chassis. Refer to
Step 4 - Install the Modules (page 39) .
Start Launcher
Click to start Launcher from the Desktop. Alternately, you can start the
application from the Windows Start menu, All Programs, Keysight Modular
Transceiver, LaunchModular TRX.
Hardware License Installation
Launcher checks if there are any hardware licenses available for the installed
modules. If a hardware license is installed in License Manager but not upgraded to
the module hardware, Launcher checks the hardware license and updates the license
to the module.
Once the license has been updated, it is removed by License Manager. A status bar
shows the number of licenses install to the module according to the slot position in
the chassis.
