Introduction

1

M8057A/B Pattern Generator Remote Head

The M8057A/B remote head is an external box which must be connected

to each channel of M8045A module. The three cables are fixed on the back

side of M8057A/B which need to be connected to M8045A remote head, P

and N connectors. It helps in minimizing signal degradations caused by

lossy channels.

M8057A/B Remote Head Components

The following figure displays the front panel of the M8057A remote head

with its various components. The similar front panel components are also

available on the M8057B remote head.

NOTE

Please note that it is mandatory to connect the M8057A/B remote head

with each channel of the M8045A module. Operation without an

M8057A/B remote head is unsupported and will not result in the

configured output settings, potentially leading to damage of a connected

device under test.
