Operation and Performance Verification

Keysight E8718A Radar Target Simulator User Guide

Verify the Operation of the E8718A

Follow the steps below to verify the basic operations of the E8718A:

Connect a power cord to the AC power inlet at the rear of the E8718A.

Switch on the power switch. You may apply 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz AC single

phase (300 W maximum). Immediately you should hear the sound of the

system fan and see the Power LED on the front panel light up.

Wait for about one to two minutes for the E8718A to fully boot-up. You may

verify this by connecting a monitor to the VGA port located at the rear of the

E8718A.

Try sending a command to the E8718A through your PC. The Link LED on the

front panel should blink. This means that the E8718A is in stand-by mode and

is ready for use.

NOTE

For optimum performance, allow 30 minutes warm up time before use.
