Keysight E1412A 6 1/2 Digit Multimeter Service Guide

Verification Tests

Performance Verification

Optional AC Voltage Gain Verification

These tests are NOT intended to be performed with every calibration. This
procedure is used to verify additional instrument AC voltage specifications.

Connect the AC Standard across the multimeter’s HI and LO input terminals as
shown in Figure 4-5.

Set up the multimeter as follows:
Reset multimeter

*RST

Configure for AC voltage

CONF:VOLT:AC

Select Slow AC filter

DET:BAND 3

Set the AC Standard controls as follows:
Output

Frequency

20 Hz

Set the multimeter to the 100 mV range using the following command:
Set range

VOLT:RANG .1

Perform the measurement using the READ? command.

5

Verify the result is within specified limits and record the result.

Change amplitude range using VOLT:AC:RANG <range> and make a
measurement for each ACV input and range shown in Table 4-6 verifying the
result is within specified limits. Record the result.
