Test Set Interface
The Test Set Interface connector is used to send address and data to the Test Set from the
PNA-X.

Pass Through Interface
This Pass Thru port is used to connect another test set as part of a multi-test set system,

similar to the 24-Port system shown in this document. The same test set I/O cable,
N4011-21002, is attached to the Test Set interface port of the second test set. A multi-test
set system will require the use of a special test set file so that the PNA-X can properly
control all test sets in the system.

Chassis Ground

A threaded terminal post for connecting the Test Set to a conductive object, cabinet, or
structure to ensure a common potential and reduce leakage current in a system. Requires an
English 1/4-20 thread nut (2950-0004) and lock washer (2190-0067).

Line Module

The line module contains the power cord receptacle. The line fuse, as well as a spare, reside
within the line module.

Figure 7 on page 21

illustrates where the fuses are located and how

to access them.

Install the instrument so that the detachable power cord is readily identifiable and is easily
reached by the operator. The detachable power cord is the instrument disconnecting device.
It disconnects the mains circuits from the mains supply before other parts of the instrument.
The front panel switch is only a standby switch and is not a LINE switch. Alternatively, an
externally installed switch or circuit breaker (which is readily identifiable and is easily
reached by the operator) may be used as a disconnecting device.
