Ferrite Core Installation - for N69173A only
For the 2,000 V unit, install the supplied ferrite core to
reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference).
Run each output lead through the core three times. If using
remote sensing (not shown), also run each sense lead
through the core three times.
Place the core as close as possible to the output cover as
shown.
Multiple Load Connections
SHOCK HAZARD, LETHAL VOLTAGES - Some models generate output voltages up to
2,000 VDC! Ensure that all instrument connections, load wiring, load and sense
connections are insulated using high-voltage wire. Always attach the safety cover
provided, so that no accidental contact with lethal voltages can occur.
If you are using local sensing and are connecting multiple loads to one output, connect each load to
the output terminals using separate connecting wires as shown in the following figure. This minimizes
mutual coupling effects and takes full advantage of the power supply's low output impedance. Keep
