855xxA/B Series CalPods and 85523B CalPod Controller

Reference Information

Configuration: Control Through a TVAC Chamber Wall

Thermal-vacuum testing requires controlling the CalPods inside of a TVAC chamber using an
85554A CalPod drive extension cable. This cable is cut to the appropriate length, and the cable
conductors soldered to an appropriate TVAC bulkhead connector to provide DC connections
through the TVAC chamber wall. Alternatively, Pave Technology (

www.pavetechnology.com

) has

an SP37/13-E-150-15-20-DSUB-DSUB connector that is used for TVAC bulkheads. The control
voltages are +/-15 Vdc with 60 mA per cable conductor.
