MIDI Transpos
in main menu allows transposition of sound generation by up to +24/-24 half note
steps. Note: Like the original, tonewheel generator includes 5 octaves. Therefore, notes outside
this range do not sound.
KeyTranspos
– transposes the note number generated by a directly connected keybed.
Local On/Off
– interrupts the connection from a directly connected keyboard to the tone
generator. Notes are only sent via MIDI.
MIDI CHANNEL
– sets the MIDI basic receive channel from 1 to 10 (upper manual, lower
1 , pedal + 2).

Special configuration for keyboards without split function
Split functions, i.e. dividing the keyboard into zones with different MIDI send channels and possibly
transposing the notes, should normally be provided by the controlling MIDI master keyboard. To
use the expander with keyboards that do not support split functions themselves, you can use the
update function in the HX3.5 Editor to optionally install the older scan driver "scanmidi_split.dat"
on the HX3 MIDI Expander. The split functions described in the following section will then be
executed by the HX3 Generator.
With the "scanmidi_split.dat" driver, however, it is not possible to use the GM instruments.
