8.4 TROUBLESHOOTING
The instrument does not switch on.
-
Check that the external power supply is connected to the instrument and the power cable is properly
plugged in the socket.

Make sure that the power socket is working.
The instrument makes no sound.

Make sure that the MIDI OUT port of the transmitting instrument is connected to the [MIDI IN1] or [MIDI
IN2/PEDALS] port of
Legend Exp
.

Make sure that the transmitting instrument is sending MIDI data, through the appropriate channels, set in
Legend Exp
.

Check that the [VOLUME] potentiometer on the front panel is not turned to the left.

Check that the expression pedal connected to the [EXP] connector on the rear panel is not set to minimum
(fully raised).

Make sure that at least one drawbar is drawn out.
The sound is distorted or you hear noise from the speakers.

Decrease the volume.

The distortion effect has been activated through the [DRIVE] potentiometer on the front panel. If you do not
want to apply a distortion, turn the potentiometer to the far left.
The instrument is not in tune with the others.

Adjust the pitch with the TUNING parameter
under the GLOBAL functions section (see par.6.1).
The expression pedal has no effect.

Verify that the pedal cable is correctly connected to the [EXP] connector on the rear panel and that it is not
damaged.
The switch pedal has no effect

If you want to control Rotary speed check that the cable is properly connected to the [ROTARY] port.

Check if the connection cable is damaged.
The switch pedal works in reverse.

Make sure not to switch on the instrument on while the pedal is pressed.
One or more of the following controls / effects do not seem to work.

Pedals: assigned to the [PEDALS] output of the rear panel (see par. 5.4).

Pedals section: if you play on a keyboard, make sure that the PEDALS TO LOWER function is active.

Rotary: it has been disabled through the ROTARY DIRECT function (see par.5.2).
