Connector "X3" is provided for use as EtherCAT fieldbus interface. The LAN configuration of
Windows Embedded Compact 2013 lists this connector as ETHNETA1. Do not use it for any
other purposes.
7.1.4 System Properties (System)
This screen tells you which version of the Windows
®
operating system you are running, how much memory
is being used and how it is partitioned (changes will not affect the Registry) and it displays copyright details.
Go to tab
Device Name
to change the device name shown during Ethernet communication, for example.
Information
Changes made at this point will be discarded after PowerOFF-PowerON. To add them to and
store them with the Registry, you must use
Start / kuhnke / Administration / SaveReg", "Save
Registry"
to explicitly save them.
7.1.5 Display Settings
Brightness
Reducing the brightness of the backlight helps to considerably extend the life of the display unit.
Display screen FSBoardConfig, go to tab Display and use the slide control to set the appropriate brightness.
Changes will apply immediately but will not be saved. To permanently save the settings, go to screen
Permanent Registry, Store, see section 7.1.6 Saving the Settings: "Permanent Registry, Store".
