Technical modifications and errors expected.
3.1 Intended use
The MiniFil is designed to extract welding fumes arising during electrowelding right at
their source and to filter them out. The hazardous substances released during the
work process are captured by a connected fumes suction burner or an extraction
nozzle. Along with the exhaust air, they flow into the filter unit. Here they are fed into
the main filter through a pre-separator for coarse particles. It has a second additional
filter stage, an aluminum mesh for medium-sized particles and a filter which also
extracts the fine, respirable smoke particles with a discharge efficiency of more than
99%. The cleaned air is sucked in by the turbines and then reintroduced to the
workspace through a HEPA filter.
For the extraction of welding fumes containing carcinogenic particles created
during welding of alloy steels (e.g., stainless steel), according to official
regulations, only units which have been tested and approved may be operated
in the so-called air circulation process.
It is imperative that the regulations contained in the TRGS 528 "Welding work"
(technical regulations for hazardous materials) are observed during all welding
work carried out in Germany. When extracting welding fumes with
carcinogenic components (e.g. chromate, nickel oxide etc.) the criteria in TRGS
560 are also to be followed.
You will find the dimensions and further details on the MiniFil which must be
observed in the Section on Technical Data.
INFORMATION
Observe the information in Section 8.1 on Technical Data.
It is essential to observe these specifications.
Intended use also includes compliance with the
instructions
−
on safety,
−
on operation and control,
−
on maintenance and servicing,
described in this manual.
Any other or further use is considered to be improper use.
Responsibility for any resulting damage rests solely with the end-user
of the MiniFil. This also applies to unauthorized modifications to the
MiniFil.
