CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING EQUIPMENT
Be careful when connecting and disconnecting the grapple loader.
• The grapple loader is connected to forestry trailers, timber trailers, forest thinning trailers
and permanent workplaces.
• Make sure that the mounting plate to which the grapple loader is connected is clean.
Tighten the bolts properly.
• Check the hydraulic system; make sure the hydraulic system has the correct capacity.
• Connect the hydraulic hoses.
• Check that all pins are correctly fitted and are not able to come loose.
• Refer to the operating manual on how to connect the rotator.
• Make sure the grapple loader is resting on the ground when disconnecting it.
• Disconnect the hydraulic connections. Important! Make sure there is no pressure left in
the system.
• The parking jack must always be used when unhitching. Place the parking jack on the ground.
• NOTE: Exercise extreme caution when connecting or disconnecting the grapple loader
considering how much it weighs.

LOADING WORK
• Operate the grapple loader in a way that ensures all movements are carried out evenly.
• The grapple loader should not be operated with the hydraulic system standing on the
trailer.

Never use equipment or products with defective safety components.
Basic movements
If you are not accustomed to using a grapple loader, you should first practice basic crane
movements.
Exercises that shorten the learning time are set out below. The trailer's stabilisers must be used
during all loading and unloading work. The ground under the stabilisers must be level and
stable as there is a risk of overturning when working on slopes. Therefore, it is very important
that the trailer is loaded and unloaded on a level surface.
