Appendix B: Award BIOS Setup Utility

Parallel Port Mode

Select an operating mode for the onboard parallel port. Select Normal unless you are certain that
both your hardware and software support one of the other available modes.

EPP Mode Select

The settings are EPP1.7 or EPP1.9. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are N/A.

ECP Mode Use DMA

This option is only available if the setting of the parallel port mode option is ECP. The settings are
None, 0 (DMA channel 0), 1 (DMA channel 1), or 3 (DMA channel 3).

Onboard Serial Port 3

Allows you to manually select an I/O address for the onboard serial port 3

Onboard Serial Port 3 IRQ

These options specify the bus that the specified IRQ line is used on.

Onboard LAN Boot ROM

Enable this field if you wish to use the boot ROM (instead of a disk drive) to boot-up the system
and access the local area network directly.

Power Management Setup

The Power Management Setup allows you to configure your system to most effectively save
energy.
